Why I hate to see the newspaper

My Parents used to tell me “Just work hard for these early years (school years) and then you would never have to work hard for your entire life “. But, Truly speaking I was a bit of exception and didn’t really listened to them but after the 12th I really didn’t spare a single day and worked really hard, which do gave me satisfaction but then I couldn’t find a single day when I don’t have to work to earn my bread. So, it made me think ‘why my parents told me that statement or they just told me because my grandparents told them and they are still think that one day it would come true and thought to try on me’.

So, coming back to the topic “Why I hate to see the newspaper” So the reason is somehow similar that it makes me realize on daily basis of how wrong my parents were and how the god has planned the life for people like us.

My Love is just like….

So, I was teaching a rhyme to my kid which was by Ken Nesbitt when I realize that somehow the writer must have thought about this rhyme after hearing my love story or some similar story.

This rhyme is really beautiful and it talks about the ‘Sun and the Moon’ and how they are best friends but still they are never able to meet. In this rhyme he talks about that irrespective of the fact that they work in harmony and do know that their true worth is only realized because of the presence of the other but still they have sacrificed their friendship for the bigger role i.e. for the betterment of society. He further says that still being aware of the fact that one friend can’t meet the other they don’t forget the other and still remember them whenever they dream(or when they have time). Isn’t it a nice rhyme!

So coming back to the topic ‘my love is same like the love of the sun and the moon’ i.e. irrespective of the fact that I may not be able to meet her ever again but still I love her from the bottom of my heart and many times her image is only one which comes when I dream of a girl with whom I may want spend my rest of the life.

While I still haven’t told her anything and the reason is not that I am afraid of her being No but what if she says YES. Am I really worth of her love and would I be able to really suffix her happiness.

While I do get my inspiration from her and would be still getting it in future but I do know that some relations are only good till they are kept in the heart of the lovers.

Quite Unconditional but it’s true.

When DCE turns DTU:- I get the Chance of my life

The 2 best years of my life

I was preparing for giving the prestigious CAT exam next year ,when I get a call from my friend regarding D.C.E. starting a new M.B.A. course just for engineers and I thought to give it a try.

And so here I am, giving the GD and interview for a college, which is there from 100 years, but the programme I was joining has just started and I would be one laying the foundation stone of this programme (only if I get selected). When I with 59 other students joined D.S.M. we had lot of anticipation, lot of dilemma and lot of anxiety regarding where we are going.

Two great friends of mine who joined D.S.M. with me, left the college on its 1st day only as they found out that there are no proper structures in place, but I stayed as I have ever believed that ‘You should complete the task on which you have put your foot forth’ also I believe a lot in ‘Connecting the Dots’ and imagine everything happening for a Good cause.

Trapasso-A Fashion Show

TRAPASSO
----Walk the Walk

Trapasso (or transition), as the name says, was a platform for all aspiring models. It was open to all students from various colleges and was organized for the first time in Engifest 2011. It was held in two stages and it was completely managed by the students of D.T.U. and the Elite Model Management, India. Trapasso saw the participation of more than 12 colleges from D.U., I.P. and D.T.U.

As the Event promised to capture the imagination of one and all, and looking at the performance of the participants, the judges and the noise of the crowd. I think TRAPASSO has done its job and set standards for the next year.

I myself wanted to get into modeling but was never able to clear the preliminary round so I thought today to have a vicarious experience and so I posed some questions to the judges, to the organizers and the participants.

All the participants were quite excited to be a part of Trapasso and for most of them the definition of Glamour was just ‘Fun, lights, excitement and power’ and everyone wants to have a career in it. But when I posed a question i.e. ‘if Elite Academy offers you a modeling contract right away for 2yrs and says for this you have to leave your studies for this, what will be your stand’ and interestingly 6 out of 9 opted to continue their studies and out of three who opted for leaving the studies 2 were girls and the single boy who agreed was still somehow reluctant saying, he has to have the final call from his parents.

I posed a question regarding the arrangements and the conduct of Elite Modeling and everyone answered positively saying they are happy with it but one girl who complained about the eve-teasing which happened to her before the event.
Talking more about the participants Nitika, a participant also told us about her passion for modeling that whenever in canteen she used to ask her friends to comment on her walk and she also watches most of the time the Modeling shows on Television. Asking Shruti about her feeling, one of the participants from D.C.E. who couldn’t make it to the final level, she couldn’t hide her disappointment and said ‘She doesn’t know about others but she should have been in the 3rd Round’. One more interesting insight was the turn up of Engineers for this modeling Contest and I think that Aamir in 3’idiot’s part-2 would definitely comment on it ‘After engineering why modeling’.
When I posed the question of the turn up of Engineers in Modeling to Judges they told me that ‘they are also bit surprised by the trend whereby more and more engineers are turning up for Modeling contests and Television Shows’ .As a fact two of the Trapasso Judges itself were doing their Engineering, Kirti from JIIT and Nikhil from Amity and truly when I looked them for the 1st time they were from no angle looking like Engineers. (Please don’t take me wrong)
Pertaining to the question of ‘Social taboos and the parents perception of Modeling’ Rachna Dayal, Head HR of Elite Modeling told me that ‘they try to carry the parents simultaneously with the future of the students and parents in most of the cases are well informed of every decision their student are taking, they also try to remove the taboos by keeping some ethics and moral in Elite Modeling and a past record of 10 years.

Organizers were really happy with the way the event was turnout and talking to Shivank a 2nd yr student of D.C.E. who was handling the laptop and sound told me that it was great fun both ‘Organizing and watching the Event.’

At last, I just have to say it was a great event …and Hats off to whole TRAPASSO Organizing Team, judges and the Participants.

One Day before the Valentine

You must have guessed the day, yes it’s 13th and today is Sunday .Whenever this 14th Feb comes I start planning one week before hoping that I would be having some true friend with whom I can spend my time on 14th . But for waiting that true(she) friend I have wasted more than 14 years but still waiting for her..But, truly no probs as people say that ‘it always time to ripe a fruit’ ,so may be…

This time also I had some girls in my mind with whom I would have loved to spend my time, but I was knowing many of their responses like ‘Prashant! Why Me’ , ‘I am already going out with someone’ or ‘I don’t go out on 14th’ .Wow! great and fearing these stupid questions and the rejection part I didn’t called anyone. But I made a plan lets spend this Sunday i.e. 13th with my pals .

So I gave them a call on 12th and everyone agreed(How easily they agreed ,I hope girls also understand that boy and girl can also be good friends) and we made a plan to meet at Connaught place.

But, God has thought something else for us only; I was just having my breakfast when I received a sms in which it was written ‘Congratulations! You have a couple ticket to 13th Feb TOI ‘Aman Ki Asha’ Concert.

Wow! But the ticket is just for 2 and I have invited four friends and they would just kill me if I just hinted them also about dropping today’s plan. I also thought to give a call to some girl and take her to the concert, but then I was knowing their stupid questions which would really be difficult for me to handle.

So, I decided ‘Kuch Na kuch toh ho hi jayega’ and I made a duplicate SMS the story of which is a different story in Itself but we were able to fool TOI and get entry to the Concert (all 4 of us)

It was a concert by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and a Pakistan Singer. We sang with them, we danced or I should say we literally rocked with them..it was awesome and I never realized how the time flung away till I saw my watch striking 9 p.m. and everyone of us realized their office and college Schedule for the Monday.

We travelled the Metro while still mesmerized in the Ehsaan Songs and when I think back, I realize that I would have never been able to enjoy so much as with my friends if I was with some girl.

So for me Valentine is a day to celebrate with friends and have a good time (irrespective of girl or boy) and I wish that some girls(beauty with brain) combination. ya! I know it’s difficult to find ..But just Hoping….

Happy Valentine to all of You

When failing became the biggest lesson

When failing became the biggest lesson

Recently, there was a B-plan event being organized in my college, I was very excited for presenting my B-plan but on the final day I came to know that my entry was rejected, I was dejected to hear the news but I thought there must be some fault in my plan and I need more partners to really know it’s intricacies, so I thought to present it in my class.

I was bit terrified on presenting it in front of 62 students, but I gathered courage and started my presentation, 4 min was still running when one start asking about profit part, I asked him to have patience but other’s started losing theirs and in the 10th min, they started leaving the class.

Except 3-4, no one came to encourage me, but people went on to say that my project was not feasible, they started making fun of me in mess for making such a useless B-plan.
I was just thinking to drop this plan when I came to know about another competition where I can present my B-plan and reluctantly I submitted it.

Few days later I had a call that my B-plan has been selected and my presentation is next day, I was excited and terrified at same time.

D-day, and I came to know that I would be the first to present, I started my presentation and kept on going for 10 min ,judges really gave me a sound listening , they raised some questions which I promptly answered.

Other B-plan really interesting, and I was sure that I won’t be able to bag a prize but I was happy for judges appreciating my idea and finally the results was announced and I came 1st ,It was just unbelievable.
For the 1st time I understood the meaning of phrase “The real happiness comes from doing what other people say you can’t do”.

I also know my friends that there are many experiences of you in same context ,so if you can do add up some of your experiences it would definitely make this post most lively

here it comes and here it goes...

'it' would not be a correct word to be used as i am using 'it' for a human being..ya..in life we used to meet many people who have great personalities ..but they are with you only for few time and then leave you ...
one such incident occured with me these day's when i was attending a 3 day workshop on IBM Db2..(it;s a course on database recently created by IBM) there i met with a great instructor..who was teaching us DB2 ..and i really have to say she had a very pleasing personality...
Beside great personality her zeal & desire to teach us( ..or i should say dumb students )...was so enthusiastic that people whom i know never attend any class were also present there..,may be some due to because she was beutiful but i believe some were due to her teaching style. She was ready to answer every question put through .and putting her maximum effort to make students make best use of the opportunity available.
but as the course end ,she has to leave..i really want to learn many things from her..but life is never as you want it.. she must be really busy..and may not be free for me..
In life we all met so many people with great personality ,a pleasing smile which leave a lasting impression on us..we forget the people but we remain indebted for their smile for their valuable addition to our personality..
But can't we retain them ..we can try ..b'coz there are very few lovely people in this world..and if we can learn so much from them in such a short time won't it be better if we can know them for our whole life..so we can consult them ..and take their advice ..whenever we require
and one more thing which is that i don't have to ever write an blog entry with a heading"here it comes and here it goes"
